In the Writer's Corner... 

Recently turned in a new Gravel Road book to Saddleback Publishing and two new books for their Red Rhino series. Excited about a bunch of new books I am writing for them AND looking forward to seeing what else we come up with in 2018!

NIGHT HIKE is done! I am preparing to show it around.

The outline for ELUL is almost done. This Romeo and Juliette-esque screenplay should be ready to show in about 4 months or so.

This is the month I set up ANHEDENIA FILMS ON DEMAND! I am excited to have most of my films available in one spot! It will be .99 cents to stream a film and $1.99 to download and own. Also, you can find us on FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram at the handle: @afilmsondemand

COOL SUMMER is about at 24 pages. I wanted to hit 30 before the end of 2017 but that just isn’t possible. I am hoping to have the film drawn by the end of this New Year.

In the Writer's Corner... 

Just turned in a bevy of ideas to Saddleback Publishing. On top of that I completed a 5000 word book for their Red Rhino Series AND I am about to complete one for their Gravel Road series. Also, I recently spoke to a bunch of AWESOME students at Unity Prep in Brooklyn, NY. Their teacher got his class reading my books. It was a lively discussion and I might be able to post it soon!

Just turned in another outline for a possible script that CINEMA EPOCH and I might make in 2018. I know we will do something it’s just figuring out all the logistics.

NIGHT HIKE is going slow but I think it will be finished by the end of THIS month.

ELUL has begun… This longhand script is a sweet story of two teenagers, from different backgrounds, getting passed their differences to be in love.

In the Writer's Corner...

Currently working on a new book for Saddleback Publishing’s Gravel Road series. I am also about to start a book for their Red Rhino series AND I am still readying more pitches. Above is an image of some books I wrote for their WALDEN LANE series.

CINEMA EPOCH and I are readying an idea that will be turned into a script and, most likely, shot in January. Nothing too much to say about it yet but I should know a lot more by next month. Looking forward to this!

NIGHT HIKE is still being rewritten. I should be just about done with it by the end of this month.

About to start my next longhand screenplay… ELUL!

ANHEDENIA FILMS ON DEMAND is still moving along. All of my films should be available digitally in 2018. Also, it looks like they might be on different platforms as well. Like INSECT being available via AMAZON PRIME!

COOL SUMMER is still being worked on. I have not drawn 20 pages yet but I am getting close.

This year just keeps getting more and more interesting. Twists and turns, ups and downs and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

In The Writer’s Corner…

Finishing up a series for Saddleback Publishing. Starting more books for them AND I am preparing more pitches for them for future books and series! They are amazing.

I might be writing some screenplays for Cinema Epoch. I sent over some loglines based on what they told their needs were. We will see!

The NIGHT HIKE rewrite goes well. I am currently fleshing out the script and some of the characters. I am also trying to keep it as contained as possible as it takes place primarily on a campsite.

BOOM! has taken a longer longer than I expected but it will completed and done in a few weeks. Then I start my newest longhand screenplay… ELUL.

DV4: ELECTRIC NIGHTMARES is available here. That title and almost all my other movies will be available digitally in 2018. I am going to be releasing everything to stream or download via ANHEDENIA FILMS ON DEMAND. I already have 5 more films shot that need to edited! I am very excited about this because I can’t wait for the library to be available.

I shot a movie on Saturday, September 23, 2017. There had been “internet” reports that the world was going to end on this day. So I made a film called DOOMSDAY while I was driving up to work an MMA event at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. 

COOL SUMMER is being worked on consistently. I should have 20 pages animated very soon!

This has been a very interesting year and I have a feeling that is going to continue into 2018.

  In the Writer’s Corner…

Recently got some covers for some new books from Saddleback Publishing. I should be posting them soon! Also, I am literally turning in new books left and right to them. It is crazy and awesome and I don’t think I’ve ever felt sharper as a writer.

Back on the NIGHT HIKE rewrite! I am working on it daily and it should be done in about 4-6 weeks.

The BOOM! longhand screenplay should be done by the end of this month. The plan is still to make it a contained terrorist thriller.

BETAMAX 4: ELECTRIC NIGHTMARES is about to come to DVD. However, when it does it will come out as DV4: ELECTRIC NIGHTMARES. You can see the cover above and there will be a link available to order it next month. Eventually, it will be available digitally, as should most of my titles, in 2018. On to COOL SUMMER…

Recently had the opportunity to make a post-modern version of WALKING BETWEEN THE RAINDROPS 2. You can order the original version HERE. The new version picks up 22 years later with myself, Popeye (Michael J. Vogelsang) and Chris Lohman. Basically, Popeye is moving away in the movie and Lohman and I try and help him. We talk about our lives and we break down the end of the first WALKING BETWEEN THE RAINDROPS.

In the Writer’s Corner…

Turned in a new book for Saddleback Publishing’s Gravel Road series. Working on a new book for their White Lightning Series and I am about to start another book in another series. They recently contracted me into mid-2018 to write MORE books! Saddleback Publishing is great and I am honored and humbled at the faith they have in me. I cannot thank them enough!

Currently, I am working on NIGHT HIKE when I can. I want to be writing more scripts. In fact, I am rededicating myself to this form of writing. For awhile, I got very into writing sellable scripts. While this isn’t a bad thing, I think there’s ways to write personal stories and make them sellable. I’ve done this before and I can do it again!

Still writing BOOM! as a longhand screenplay. My plan is still to write this as a big, 1980s terrorist thriller and then rewrite it as very contained terrorist thriller.

I am about 3/4’s of the way done with BETAMAX 4: ELECTRIC NIGHTMARES. This is shaping up to be a very messed up, technologically infused version of TOY STORY. It should be done in a week or so. At that point I will resume COOL SUMMER.

However, I still have to make films. COOL SUMMER is animated. This means it will take a very long time to complete. I don’t mind this but I still want to make films. So… that is why I have made two more films this past July. I made THE RIVERBED which looks at the homeless situation in Orange County, CA. I then made an impromptu film at the Los Angeles Coliseum titled, HOW MANY TIMES CAN I SAY I LOVE YOU? I am just going to stockpile these quickly done films. Then, once COOL SUMMER is done, I am going to edit all those films and probably begin INSECT 2!

Currently, I am on Summer Break and REALLY enjoying it! The changes continue to happen and I just want to keep up with all of them. There are some other projects I am working on a little bit. These are spearheaded by others and I’ve been lucky enough to be asked to join in. More on them as they become more of a reality.
