Click here to check out the ORANGE COUNTY HARDCORE SCENESTER Facebook page.

You can purchase the DVD/Blu-ray of KNOCKOUT. This is the boxing film that I co-wrote and it stars "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. For the best price I would go to BestBuy.com.

Also, you can order ALL of my available films via Amazon.com by clicking here.

Finally, if you like young adult fiction (or know somebody who does), you can check out all of my young adult fiction books here.  They are written for people with various levels of reading ability.

In The Writer’s Corner...

Currently writing the new series for Saddleback Publishing! I have learned and continue to learn so much from working with these people.

Turned in the H.P. Lovecraft screenplay I adapted and now myself and the director are waiting to hear if the production company behind it wants to make it.

About to start a new John Carpenter-esque screenplay titled NIGHT HIKE. Basically, a meteor descends from the sky and turns all who are exposed to it into bloodthirsty killers.

The writing of WARREN has slowed down a bit. Other projects have just gotten in the way. Considering I am the person releasing it, I only have myself to blame. It will be done soon, though.

It looks like I am releasing INSECT. I should have a lot more to say about this next month!

COOL SUMMER is moving along. This tale of three boys who befriend a man who may or may not be a serial killer should hopefully be done at this time next year. You can currently check out the characters in COOL SUMMER in my film 1985-1986.

Lastly, my #BOXINGTIME movie is just about done (I am releasing on DVD and VOD but it might be released via Instagram). Also, the sequel to TIM COHEN'S AMAZING ADVENTURES IN CARDBOARD BOX TIME TRAVEL was shot this month. Editing will begin as soon as I finish TRES FALLS, the impromptu movie I made in the mountains last month.

Thank you again for the visit,

Evan Jacobs

Hello!

Very sorry this is late. I was in the mountains for week when the months changed. Time was not wasted as I managed to make another quickie movie up there! More on that below...

You can now order the DV TRILOGY here! Order it on DVD!! Don't let physical media die!!!

In the Writer's Corner...

I have recently signed an agreement to write 10 books for a new Saddleback Publishing series! I am BEYOND excited about this. I am currently working on the specs and story lines.

The H.P. Lovecraft screenplay is just about done! I look forward to turning in a first draft this month.

I'VE GOT A CRUSH ON YOU, my screenplay about one teens desire to get the girl of his dreams... In a dream, is done. I just need to prepare it to be shown to producers and other people.

WARREN, the next offering from Ronni's Books, should be done this month. This tale sees two best friends in high school pitted against each other when one of them is possessed by an ancient Native American curse.

In the next few months INSECT should be coming out. It is looking like I am releasing it. It will be available on DVD/VOD and in a limited release on VHS.

COOL SUMMER is still slow in the going but it is going. This tale of three boys who befriend a man who may or may not be a serial killer should be very interesting. You can currently see the characters from COOL SUMMER in my film 1985-1986 by clicking HERE.

Lastly, you can order THE FORMING HERE!

Currently, I am still editing #BOXINGTIME and it might even be done in March as well. I also recently shot another quickie film in Lake Arrowhead, CA. It is called TRES FALLS. I will talk more about it once I start editing. Finally, it looks like I am shooting the sequel to TIM COHEN'S AMAZING ADVENTURES IN CARDBOARD BOX  TIME TRAVEL this month as well!

Thank you for the visit!

In The Writer’s Corner…

About halfway through my adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft adaptation. I plan to have it turned in before the end of this month.

I’VE GOT A CRUSH ON YOU, the tale of a lovelorn teen who can’t stop dreaming about the girl he is infatuated with, looks like it will be done this month as well. Very excited about both of these projects and looking forward to starting some new scripts.

WARREN (the next offering from Ronni’s Books), which sees two best friends in high school pitted against each other when one of them is possessed by an ancient Native American curse, should be finished soon as well. The plan is to release it in March or early April.

I should know in the next few months when INSECT is coming out. It is looking like I am releasing it. It will be available on DVD/VOD and in a limited release on VHS.

COOL SUMMER is slow in the going but it is going. This tale of three boys who befriend a man who may or may not be a serial killer should be very interesting. In the meantime, you can see the characters from COOL SUMMER in my film 1985-1986 by clicking HERE.

Also… it seems like WATCHING A MOVIE has inspired an offshoot. I will talk more about this when I know what’s going on with it.

Lastly, THE FORMING is out! You can find out more about it HERE! Currently, I am editing #BOXINGTIME and it might even be done in February as well.

To be honest, 2016 has been a bit of an odd year so far. At the same time, I do understand that life has ups and downs and EVERYTHING, good or bad, happens for a reason. L’Chaim!

See you next time and thanks for the visit,

In The Writer’s Corner…

Recently signed an agreement with a producer to adapt an HP Lovecraft story into a modern day tale. Very excited! I am currently breaking down the story (from 1918) and putting together the outline. I am hoping to have a first draft in 6-8 weeks.

Still rewriting I’VE GOT A CRUSH ON YOU. This tale of a lovelorn teen who can’t stop dreaming about the girl he is infatuated with, just a needs a little bit more meat on its bones and it will be completed. I think it will be about a month.

My next book WARREN, based on a screenplay I wrote about two best friends in high school who are pitted against each other when one of them is possessed by an ancient Native American curse, is about halfway done.

Still schlepping INSECT around however 2016 will be the year it comes out!

I have animated the first page of COOL SUMMER! Here’s hoping I have more done when I do the next news update. Animation takes time my friends, even very simply (ie. crummy) done animation. However, these characters are from my film 1985-1986 and you can watch it HERE right now!

THE FORMING is done! It is off the company that creates my DVDs and VODs. It should be available this month. I am now hard at work on my next microbudget film #BOXINGTIME! This movie is a quickly made tale about a boxing promoter who has his life fall apart on the day of a big boxing event! It too will be released in 2016 on DVD, VOD and elsewhere!

Thank you for the visit,

Evan Jacobs

Isaac Golub looking at his many faces on the set of THE FORMING.

Hello!

Welcome to the last post of 2015! It is incredible how quick this year went. It was a great one, though, and here’s to a great 2016!

You can now order the DV TRILOGY here! Order it on DVD!! Don't let physical media die!!!

My documentary ORANGE COUNTY HARDCORE SCENESTER is available! You can order it here.

In The Writer's Corner...

Just finished up a new book for Saddleback Publishing. I turned it in earlier this week. I am going to be talking to them soon to find out what they may want me to do next!

I’VE GOT A CRUSH ON YOU, my BACK TO THE FUTURESQUE tale of a teenager that has a dream about a girl he is in love with, is currently in the rewrite stage. I am hoping to get it done this month and to start showing it around in early January.

I am also turning my screenplay WARREN into a young adult novel. It is about two best friends in high school who are pitted against each other when one of them is possessed by an ancient Native American curse. Ronni’s Books will be releasing it.

Presently, I am still showing INSECT around. I am not surprised that I am having trouble finding a distributor. This game is NEVER easy. I am happy to have options that I control should I end up releasing it myself. Which leads me to…

COOL SUMMER has started production. The animation road will be a long one. It will no doubt have many starts and stops. However, the universe of characters from my animated film 1985-1986 continues! You can watch 1985-1986 for free here!

The reshoot of THE FORMING went very well. The film is just about done. I am adding sound FX and music, presently. After that, I will be laying out the DVD, preparing the VOD images and releasing it either later this month or in January. I am also about to start editing my next quick film #BOXINGTIME in the next few weeks as well!

Thank you for continuing to care and check out Anhedenia Films!

Happy New Year,

Evan Jacobs
