In the Writer's Corner…
I just turned in the first draft of my next book to Saddleback Publishing. It is titled SENIORYEAR and it deals with loss. We also talked recently and it looks like I am going to write even more books for them. I am honestly humbled and blessed for these opportunities.
I spoke with a producer recently about ghostwriting their memoirs. We will see where this goes...
The MOTHCATCHER AND HALLOWEEN COSTUME book is now going to be a daily project and it should be completed in short order. It will be the next book I release via RONNI'S BOOKS.
The screenplay I was writing titled BODIE has taken a different turn and thus gotten a new title. It is now called CRASHER. I was writing the script, I came to a point where I had written a scene that was too jarring for the script, so I decided to rework the whole screenplay. Initially, the jarring scene was the one that inspired the screenplay. However, the changes will make the script more contained and thus easier to make! My plan is to have this screenplay done by the end of May.
I should have the first cut of INSECT around April 17. I then plan to take a month, show the film around, make a lot of notes, and re-edit it over the summer. It should be done by July or August. You can watch the trailer here.
Production on DV3 is afoot. I will be shooting the third and (maybe) final film in this series from 3/11-3/12! I have already shot a portion of the ending.
I plan to shoot THE KENNEDY FILM in May and have it edited by the end of June or so.

Life is funny.

In the Writer's Corner…
I am over halfway done with my next book for SaddleBack Publishing. It is titled SENIORYEAROVER and it is going great. I am trying some new things to make the book read in a very clear way. I am also about to finish up a series of shorter books for SaddleBack and I can only hope that they ask me to write more!
MOTHCATCHER AND HALLOWEEN COSTUME is slow in the going but that's only because other projects have gotten ahead of it. This month I should be working on it more regularly and it will be done shortly after that. You can order all of my books by clicking here.
BODIE, my newest contained, horror screenplay is about half way done. It also looks like I am going to be writing some low budget horror screenplays for another production company.

In The Writer's Corner…
Currently getting ready to shoot a quick project that Cinema Epoch is going to distribute. Right now all I have is an outline. It is about the Kennedy Assassination. I am going to flesh that out a little more and then hopefully shoot and edit the movie by June.
Recently signed a contract to write another book for Saddleback Press! It is called SENIORYEAROVER and it deals with loss. I love writing for this company and I can only hope that our relationship continues!
ATTACK OF THE DRONES is here. In Kindle Form. The print version should be available shortly. I am just waiting on the book proof. It is being released by Ronni's Books. My next title that I am self-releasing is currently being worked on. It is called THE MOTHCATCHER AND HALLOWEEN COSTUME. It is about friendships that collide on Halloween.
I am currently about 30 pages into my newest screenplay. It is called BODIE and it is a contained horror movie. As I continue writing, I will share more about its story.
The INSECT trailer is almost here. I am taking a very simple approach to the editing of INSECT. I feel that if I try and insert too much, or even guide the story too much, it is going to get overblown and lost. No need for that. I am going to tell INSECT in the most direct way possible.

In The Writer's Corner…
Still talking with Nasser Entertainment about a new project. They have some really cool things going on over there and I am honored that they would want me to be a part of them.
The writing for Saddleback Press is going very well. They are always great to work with and I just cannot say enough about how much I enjoy being on their team. They are going great and important things and it means a lot to be associated with that.
My next young adult fiction book ATTACK OF THE DRONES will be out through Ronni's Books in February of 2014. In addition to that, I have started a new YA book titled, THE MOTHCATCHER AND HALLOWEEN COSTUME. It too will be released by Ronni's Books in early 2014.
FALLING APART is done and being pitched around now. The logline is… Michael Gans is in a race against time after he's infected by a mysterious illness that causes him to lose all of his body parts. I am now outlining my next screenplay titled BODIE. My goal is to write 6 new screenplays this year with BODIE being the first.
The animating of INSECT is done. I am going to start editing it at the end of this month. I cannot believe that it is completed. The above picture is a shot of the main character Reggie (voiced by Nik Hill) as he faces off for the first time against the Insect. I tried to make the Insect a cross between a suit of armor and the PREDATOR. Those yellow things on its body are actually openings that allow Reggie to see inside of it. This is kind of a weird movie but hopefully not so weird that the audience is vaporized.
It looks like DV and DV2 will be coming out on DVD before they are released on VOD. I should know more about Cinema Epoch's plans this month.
I am planning to make a bunch of quick, micro-budget movies this year as well in an effort to bulk up the Anhedenia Films library. The first one will be about the Kennedy Assassination. I will report more on that next month.

In The Writer's Corner…
Presently working on another new script with Nasser Entertainment. Throwing ideas back and forth but it seems like the outline is about 80% ready to go.
I recently signed an agreement with Saddleback Press to write some very low level books for them. I turned in my first one and I am waiting on the rewrite notes. This agreement calls for me to write 6 books for them between now and March. Very excited about this and a bunch of other things I have going on with them.
The final rewrite for FALLING APART is about done. It will be complete by about the middle of this month and then it's time to make it available.
The animating of INSECT will end this month. I have about 13 more pages left to go. This isn't a lot, however these scenes are probably the most intricate and important in the script. It is the final denouement and it needs to end BIG! The above picture shows the two brothers in story as they get ready to enter their parents bedroom and face a giant insect.
DV and DV2 will be coming out shortly. I should know in the next couple of weeks how Cinema Epoch plans to do this.
I have outlined out a new micro budget feature that I want to shoot before the end of the year. It shouldn't take more than 2 days. My plan is to have it be about the Kennedy Assassination.

In The Writer's Corner
FALLING APART is basically done. I have two more rewrites to put it through and then I am going to make it available. I basically write a script and then I rewrite it three more times after that. Not sure if that is enough but one shouldn't labor on a script too long. That's my opinion anyway.
It looks like I am going to do a new micro-budget movie with the Nassers. It also looks like DISTANT SHORE is going to shoot some time in 2014. On top of that, we're trying to get another screenplay going.Saddleback Press are getting everything organized for the release of my second book with them. It is titled SELF.DESTRUCTED. It is about a guy whose obsessive nature forces him to do something that changes his life forever. I am also going to be writing some more books for them! Lastly, my book SCREAMING QUIETLY won an award at the 2013 Moonbeam Children's Book Awards. I posted the cover with the medal above. This is how future versions of the book will be printed. I have been writing since I was 8 so this is a very big honor for me.
There are about 18 more pages to draw for INSECT. With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, it is my sincere hope to have it finished by the end of this month!
Still planning on shooting another quick, horror movie before the end of the year! I should also have more information about the releases of DV and DV2 next month as well!

My new screenplay FALLING APART is going well. It should actually be done by the end of this month. It is a contained horror film set around the leak of a government created gas. After this I will be starting another screenplay which is titled BODIE. It is a fictional story set around the California ghost town.
I had a meeting with Saddleback Press this month. It was part meeting, part book signing and all geared toward the future which has me writing more books for them. I am truly honored to be working with this company. They have given me many opportunities and it is great to think that more are on the docket for the future.
There are 22 more pages to draw and the animation portion of INSECT will be finished. Then it will be edited with the plan to complete it at the end of this year and then release it in 2014. You can follow the movie in a more in-depth way here.
DV2 is complete!! In fact, I just sent off the screener to Cinema Epoch. This film is a bit inspired by the claustrophobic look and feel of THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2. I have even outlined DV3 which is going to be like ROSEMARY'S BABY. At that point the trilogy will be complete. Maybe.
I am also planning on shooting another quickie horror movie at some point in the next few months. It will be set around Halloween.
